BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) - A former Trenton police officer is facing two counts of rape and seven counts of gross sexual imposition according to an indictment handed down by a Butler County grand jury.

Danny Green, 65, retired from the Trenton Police Department in Jan. 2008, according to the department.

A spokesperson for the attorney general’s office says Trenton police asked the Bureau of Criminal Investigation to look into allegations involving Green on May 19, 2020.

Court documents say the alleged incidents took place during three different time periods from about Aug. 10, 2004, through Aug. 9, 2012, from March 23, 2010, through March 22, 2015, and August 29, 2011, through August 28, 2019.

The indictment says the offenses involved a person who was under the age of 13.

Green was released from the Butler County Jail on a $50,000 bond Thursday.

As conditions of his bond, Green is on electronic monitoring, may only travel in Butler and Warren counties, and may have no contact with his alleged victims or any children under the age of 18.

He’s scheduled to be back in court on March 3 for a pretrial hearing.
