Daughter indicted for vehicular homicide after running dad over, court records show

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (FOX19) - A Butler County woman has been indicted for aggravated vehicular homicide after deputies say she ran over her father and he had to hospitalized,

Asya Haywood, 30, ran over her father, Derrick Robinson, on Nov. 23, 2020, according to the court complaint. That day was not only the day Robinson would be hospitalized from being hit, but 911 calls claim it was his birthday.

The complaint said Haywood and Robinson were arguing when the daughter decided to leave in her father’s van. Inside of the van was Haywood’s six kids, the document states.

Haywood backed out of the driveway fast, and Robinson was in the middle of the Zenith Court trying to stop her, the complaint said.

Now out of the driveway and in the street, Haywood put the van in reverse and backed over Robinson, according to the court complaint.

At the time, records show Haywood was facing a charge of felonious assault.

On March 3, Haywood was indicted for aggravated vehicular homicide, according to court records.
