Miami University announces plans for in-person commencement ceremonies

OXFORD, Ohio (FOX19) - Miami University will hold in-person commencement ceremonies over a three-day period in May.

The university announced its plans to host eight divisional ceremonies at Yager Stadium, rain or shine.

Here is the breakdown of the commencement ceremonies:

  • Friday, May 14
    • 1:30 p.m. - College of Creative Arts
    • 7 p.m. - College of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences (Miami Regionals)
  • Saturday, May 15
    • 8 a.m. - College of Engineering and Computing
    • 1:30 p.m. - College of Arts and Science (majors TBD)
    • 7 p.m. - College of Arts and Science (majors TBD)
  • Sunday, May 16
    • 8 a.m. - College of Education, Health and Society
    • 1:30 p.m. - Farmer School of Business (majors TBD)
    • 7 p.m. - Farmer School of Business (majors TBD)

The university said each graduate is allowed to invite up to six guests to the ceremony.

Guest will be assigned seats in a pod-style format to allow for social distancing between groups.

All graduates, guests, and staff will be required to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing during the events, the university said.
