Second victim dies from West End triple shooting, police say
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A second victim died from a triple shooting earlier this week in the West End, Cincinnati police say.
The shooting was reported about 7:45 p.m. Monday at John and Livingston streets.
Responding officers said they found three gunshot victims at the scene.
One of the victims, 25-year-old Dorian Williams, was pronounced dead.
Police said the two other victims were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
One of them succumbed to his injuries Wednesday, police say.
They identified him Thursday as 37-year-old Raymone Turner.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
Williams’ family and friends gathered to mourn her in the West End on Tuesday.
They say Williams was a bright and loving mother who was just out picking up some snacks for her son when she was shot and killed.
Cincinnati police say there have been 11 shooting victims in the past three weeks in the West End.
Cincinnati police put out a statement saying: “In regards to the uptick in violence in the West End, we continue to seek help from the public. We need folks to come forward with any information you may have.”
Monday’s shootings put the West End at the top of the list with Over-the-Rhine as the city’s most gun-violent neighborhoods, according to police.
