Bicyclist killed in hit-skip accident, police searching for vehicle

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle in a hit-skip accident that killed a bicyclist Saturday morning in College Hill.

According to Capt. Norris with the Cincinnati Police Department, the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of W. North Bend Road.

James Towns, 37, was riding a bicycle on West North Bend Road when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

Police say that the vehicle fled the scene.

Towns was taken to a UC Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Norris said.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
