CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A 79-year-old woman is dead after crashing into a construction vehicle earlier this week in Springdale, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Karen Rolke, 79, of Colerain Township, was pronounced dead Thursday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a coroner’s report shows.

The wreck happened Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. on West Kemper Road near Greenlawn Avenue, according to Springdale police.

Rolke was driving when a Bobcat construction vehicle working on a home in the area pulled out into the street, police said Friday.

The 79-year-old’s vehicle crashed into the back of the Bobcat, Springdale police said.

Rolke was taken to UC Hospital after the crash.

She died Thursday from her injuries, according to police.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Hamilton County Metro Post are leading the follow-up investigation.
