CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A 68-year-old woman is dead following an early morning house fire in Bond Hill house Monday, her family says.

Flames broke out on Northcutt Avenue near Reading Road just before 4 a.m.

The woman was found inside by firefighters and she was then taken to University Hospital, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.

She did not survive, the department said.

Her family identified her as Irrie Rall.

Flames were shooting from the roof in the back of the home when crews arrived. Part of the roof collapsed, and the home is a total loss, per CFD.

Firefighters will remain at the scene throughout Monday to put out hotspots.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
