CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland police on Monday announced a young man has been found safe after a witness reported he was kidnapped this weekend.
According to Cleveland police, the man was not kidnapped.
“There was no cause on the abduction. The incident was a misunderstanding between family members,” a department spokesperson said.
A woman told Cleveland police she was driving around 7 a.m. Sunday in the city’s Glenville neighborhood when she saw two men assault a young man, who appeared to be 17 or 18 years old.
The woman said the men put the victim in the trunk of a vehicle and drove away, according to police.
Cleveland police said they are thankful to the public for their assistance during this investigation.
