Dispatch: 1 taken to hospital after shooting in Hamilton

HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) - An investigation is underway after someone was shot in Hamilton Monday morning.
Emergency crews were dispatched to Annie Lou Drive around 10 a.m. for a report of someone with a gunshot wound.
According to Hamilton police, the incident was determined to be an “accidental shooting,” in which the person shot themselves in the leg.
They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Ungerbuehler says it’s possible for detectives to press charges against the person for discharge of a firearm within the city.
If charges are pressed, the individual may face a fourth degree misdemeanor.
