Police identify woman shot, killed in Walnut Hills

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati police have identified a woman who was shot and killed inside a Walnut Hills apartment Tuesday.
Officers say 31-year-old Tekeya McCollum died as a result of a shooting in the 2600 block of Park Avenue.
According to Cincinnati Police Department’s Lieutenant Jerome Herring, officers responded to a call for shots fired on that street around 6:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they searched the building and found a woman suffering a gunshot wound in a stairwell.
EMTs attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cincinnati Police Criminal Investigation Section is handling the investigation.
Police say there are currently no suspects.
