BLANCHSTER, Ohio (WXIX) - A 27-year-old motorcyclist is dead after he crashed while fleeing a traffic stop, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
It happened on Ohio 133 (Pansy Pike) in Blanchester around 10:11 p.m. Thursday.
A trooper tried to pull over a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja speeding in the Clinton County village, a patrol dispatcher tells FOX19 NOW.
The motorcyclist fled. He continued speeding in a no-passing zone and tried to pass a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck as the truck turned left onto Northview Road, troopers said in a news release early Friday.
The motorcycle struck the driver’s side door, ran off the road and hit a road sign.
James Gleason of Beavercreek was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, troopers say.
