Skeletal remains found in southeast Indiana, officials say

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. (WXIX) - Skeletal remains were found in a rural area in southeastern Indiana Friday.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department says investigators responded to a scene in a rural area of Franklin County Friday.

The Franklin County Coroner was notified and the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Forensic Anthropology Teams was called to aid in the examination and identification of the remains.

The investigation remains ongoing and officials say more details will be released as they are available.
