Megan McSweeney joined Cleveland 19 News in January 2023 as an Assignment Desk Editor and Digital Content Producer.
She graduated from Kent State in 2022 and is excited to start her career in the city she grew up in.
When Megan isn't writing, she spends her time on the lake racing sail boats and trying new coffee shops. She's passionate about audio storytelling and looks forward to every Sunday when the new This American Life episode is released.
Before joining 19 News, she spent her summers teaching campers how to sail dinghys and school years writing for student media outlets. Recently, her senior reporting project was nominated for the Student Award for Diversity through Kent State's School of Media and Journalism.
