Woman shot, killed in Evanston

EVANSTON, OH (FOX19) - A woman was shot and killed in Evanston Thursday night.

Police responded to the 3000 block of Hackberry just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Upon arrival, officers found 24-year-old Ebonie McDonald suffering a gun shot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her boyfriend, Leon Leonard, 22, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and having weapons under disability.

Police say the shooting was accidental and Leonard is cooperating with police. McDonald and Leonard had a child together.
