City pools are open, now groups work to keep them open for 2012

Cincinnati city pools are open for the 2011 season, but they are looking ahead to the 2012 season.

Because of help from Cincinnati City Neighborhoods, the CRC Foundation, City Council, corporate donations and Stan Chesley, the city pools were open for 2011. Now they are working to get money for 2012 and started by hosting the Ziegler Recovery Pool Party because the city will not be able to fund the pools.

Mayor Mark Mallory and Stan Chesley attended a pool fundraising event, Sunday.

The Bucket Boyz and Over-the-Rhine's own Dirty C performed.

All proceeds from the event went towards the Pool Endowment Fund, which is there to keep the city pools open.
