NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Three people have been taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a home Monday morning.

The accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Robertson Avenue.

A woman and a young child were on the porch of the home when the car drove through the front yard and crashed into the front of the home. They were delivering campaign flyers at the time according to Norwood Ward 3 Candidate, Joseph Geers, who says his wife Kate and 3 year old son, Joseph are "bruised" but otherwise doing alright.

The driver of the car, who's name has not been released, had to be cut out of the car. There is no word on the driver's injuries.

A building inspector was called because of possible structural damage and wooden boards where placed under the porch awning to shore it up.

Neighbors say drivers routinely ignore the posted 25 mile-per-hour speed limit. "Oh, its horrible. The whole bend right here, people will speed straight through. We've got people speeding down here - coming from here and from the stop sign down there. 60, 70 miles an hour. I mean its crazy," said Tracy Napier.
