CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Nuns are traveling across the country on a bus tour to highlight what they say are the consequences of the federal budget proposed by Representative Paul Ryan.
The Nuns on the Bus made a stop in Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon to denounce Speaker John Boehner's support of the budget and hear from the people of the Ohio region. The sisters are traveling through Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and D.C. during the 2,7000 mile bus tour. They will visit Catholic sponsored social service agencies who they say will be harmed by the budget cuts and meet with congressional office to advocate for policies to protect vulnerable families.
They visited with Speaker Boehner's Office on Monday morning.
