CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The YWCA held its first annual women's town meeting at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Saturday. AmericaSpeaks facilitated the event, YWCA USA, and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati hosted it.

The event was held in order for women to discuss solutions to jobs, economy, healthcare, as well as civil and voting rights issues in a non-partisan setting. The event also featured a candidate forum. Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords served as the honorary chair of the host committee for the event.

The results from the "What Women Want 2012: A YWCA USA National Survey of Priorities and Concerns" poll were also shared and discussed during the meeting.  AmericaSpeaks will then produce a final report on the meeting regarding which policies women in attendance believe should go forward and give the report to state and national public policy leaders.
