Woman indicted for hitting family with car, killing toddler
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A driver has been indicted for hitting and killing a 3-year-old boy earlier this month in Westwood.
Sheba Basabose, 35, was indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count each of aggravated vehicular assault and vehicular assault.
Police say Basabose lost control of her car on McHenry on Oct. 8, crossed the center line, jumped the curb and hit a woman and her three small children who were walking on the sidewalk. The car also hit a hydrant and ended up coming to a rest on the other side of the roadway.
One of the children, Rodriguez Taylor, 3, died at Children's Hospital. The mother and the two other children, ages 5 and 1, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
