(FOX19) - Veterans Day is Monday, November 11, 2013, and restaurants around the tri-state are offering special freebies and deals to honor those that have served, or are currently serving, in our military.
Most offers require proof of service, which can be anything from a service ID card, earnings statement, certificate of discharge, or simply being in uniform to receive the deal.
Freebies:
-Applebee's: Veterans can choose a free meal from a special Veteran's Day menu. Proof of service is required.
-Bar Louie: From open to close Sunday, November 10th and Monday, November 11th every Bar Louie location across the country will offer veterans and military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value.
-Belterra: Free breakfast lunch or dinner from The Buffet at Belterra.
-Benchmark Outdoor Outfitter: A 15% discount on all purchases on Monday, November 11.
-Bob Evans: veterans and active military personnel will receive free all-you-can-eat hotcakes at its restaurants on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. All these honored servicemen and women need do is show a valid military ID.
-Champps Americana: Veterans have a choice from 7 free burgers and waffle fries with proof of military service.
-Cheeseburger in Paradise: Free All-American Burger with fries with purchase of beverage and -military ID or proof of service. Available to active military or veterans. Beverages and gratuity not included, dine-in only.
-Chili's: Receive a free meal from eight menu options if you are a veteran or active military duty. Proof of service is required.
-Cincinnati Reds - Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is offering veterans & active military free admission with ID, Friday-Monday.
-City Barbeque - Free half pound sandwich platter to all military veterans and troops. In addition to the on the house meal they will donate 5% of total sales this day to Elder Heart, a non-profit encouraging warriors helping warriors through community projects.
-Denny's: Free all you can eat pancakes from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 for all active, retirees, and veterans with a valid military ID or proof of military service. Offer available in every Denny's nationwide
-Eli's BBQ: Show your military ID today and receive 2 sides for free with your BBQ.
-Golden Corral: Veterans and active military personnel will receive a free dinner buffet and beverage from 4pm -9pm
-Horseshoe Casino: Free buffet at The Spread buffet with valid military ID. 11 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
-Little Caesar's: Free Crazy Bread® with proof of military status or proof of service at participating stores nationwide. Call ahead to verify participation.
-Lone Star Steakhouse: All veterans and active duty military will be eligible for a buy one get one free entrée. ID or proof of service required. Please call ahead for verification.
-LongHorn Steakhouse: With proof of service, veterans will receive a free beverage and a Texas Tonion appetizer.
-Max & Erma's: Participating Max & Erma's locations are offering military members and veterans a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo, which includes tortilla soup or side Caesar salad, seasoned fries, and chocolate chip cookies. Dine-in only. Call ahead to verify participation. ID or proof of service required.
- McCormick & Schmick's: Sunday, November 10th. Veterans will be able to choose a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée from a special menu. Veterans must provide proof of military service. Be sure to contact your local McCormick & Schmick's as this is valid at participating restaurants only. Also, space is limited and reservations are highly recommended.
-Mike's Car Wash: A free car wash for all active duty military and veterans at all Mike's locations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. They will also be collecting donations for Disabled American Veterans organization.
-O'Charley's: Free entree from the $9.99′er menu for all active military and veterans with proof of service.
-Olive Garden: Veterans can choose a free entrée from a special menu, with breadsticks and unlimited soup or salad included.
-Orange Leaf at the Banks is offering 2 free ounces of froyo with additional purchase and military i.d.
-Outback: A free Bloomin' Onion and beverage is being offered to active and retired military. Veterans can also receive 10% off the total check from November 12 – December 31, 2013.
- Red Lobster: Monday, Nov. 11 – Thursday Nov. 14, 2013. Free Appetizer on Veterans Day with military ID or proof of service. Vets may choose from a select list of appetizers.
-Red Robin: A free Red's Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Steak Fries will be given to active and retired military personnel with a valid military ID.
SmoQ BBQ- Veterans get $10 off entre.
-T.G.I Fridays: From 11am-2pm, veterans will receive a free lunch with proof of military service.
-Texas Roadhouse: A free lunch will be served to active and retired veterans with proof of service.
- Tim Hortons: All US locations are offering a free donut to all active duty service members and veterans. No purchase necessary. Proof of service required.
