NORTHSIDE, OH (FOX19) - Bond was set Wednesday morning for a man who is accused of murdering a young mother in Northside.
Carlos Richardson, 44, was arrested and charged Tuesday with the murder of Candace DeMoss, 20, in the area of 3400 Beech Hill Avenue on Nov. 18.
Carlos Richardson was arraigned on Wednesday and has his bond set at $250,000.
Some of DeMoss' family members felt the bond was too low.
"He took the of my niece. She still had her whole life ahead of her," said Amanda Abrams, DeMoss' aunt. "I feel he shouldn't have a bond at all. He should just sit in jail."
Abrams said DeMoss had been living with Richardson for the past few weeks leading up to her death, but they weren't dating.
The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate this homicide. Anyone who has information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section at 352-3542 or CRIMESTOPPERS at (513) 352-3040.
