Man arrested after firing shots at dog

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A Middletown man is facing charges after firing shots at a dog.

Police say Travis Wells fired three shots at a pit bull that was in his yard attacking his dog.

During the investigation officers found three bullet holes. Two were in the neighbor's detached garage and one shattered the front glass door of Spring Leaf Financial. The bullet traveled through two back yards before hitting the door.

The parking lot of the complex was busy with customers.

Wells was charged with discharging a firearm into prohibited premises, inducing panic and criminal damaging. He had three firearms in his possession at the time of the incident.

Wells is being held at the Middletown City Jail.

No one was injured during the incident.
