LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - In light of recent school violence, the Warren County Police Chiefs Association formed a multi-jurisdictional training team to provide "Active Violence" training for every officer in Warren County.
The team consists of deputies from the Warren County Sheriff's Office and officers from the following police departments: Springboro, Mason, Franklin, Lebanon, Clearcreek Township, and Hamilton Township. In addition members from the Warren County Combined Tactical Response Unit are also involved in the training.
This realistic training focuses on teaching single and double officer responses to an act of violence in an effort to minimize response time, thereby reducing casualties. Officers attending the training receive a classroom session, then practical exercises leading up to two realistic active shooter scenarios. During the two week training period over 200 officers will attend the training.
