Man taken to hospital after car drives into Ohio River

TAYLORSPORT, KY (FOX19) - Emergency crews were called a boat ramp in Boone County after a car drove into the Ohio River Wednesday night.
It happened around 7:15 p.m. near a boat ramp on Taylorsport Drive in Taylorsport, KY.
According to Boone County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tom Scheben, the driver swam to shore with help from an eyewitness. He was then taken to a nearby hospital and claimed to be the sole occupant in the car.
Boone County Water Rescue, a technical rescue team and Hebron Fire officials all responded to the scene.
The completely submerged vehicle was located on the riverbed, and divers were sent down to investigate.
No word yet on what caused the accident.
