I-75 south reopens after recycling truck fire

(FOX19) - Southbound I-75 has reopened after a residential recycling truck caught fire near the Lockland Split.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Monday just past Shepherd Lane. According to Rumpke officials, the truck was en route to the company's recycling transfer station.

The driver was able to move the vehicle to the shoulder and was not injured.

The Lockland Fire Department responded to the scene and contained the fire.

At one point, the southbound lanes were completed shutdown. The highway has since completely reopened.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
