Roller Coaster enthusiasts go behind-the-scenes at Kings Island

BUFFALO, NY (FOX19) - Members of the world's largest ride enthusiast organization, the American Coaster Enthusiasts, were treated to a behind-the-scenes construction tour of the new Banshee roller coaster Sunday at Kings Island.

The $24 million ride will be the world's longest inverted roller coaster when it debuts in April 2014. Riders will scream their way through 4,124 feet of track and seven inversions at speeds up to 68 mph.

After plunging down a 150-foot first drop, riders will go through a Curved Drop, Dive Loop, a loop interacting with the lift, Zero-G-Roll, Batwing, Outside Loop,Spiral, In-Line Roll and Carousel.

Founded in 1978, the American Coaster Enthusiasts is a non-profit organization of more than 5,000 members from 16 countries.
