Kenton Co. SWAT team called to Kentucky meth lab

INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - Officers were dispatched to 3919 Pathfinder Court in Independence, KY late last night for a report of a subject with a gun who had barricaded himself inside the residence.

Kenton County SWAT and the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike force were called to the scene. After several hours of negotiations, the suspect surrendered to police without incident.

Police found elements of what appeared to be a methamphetamine lab. The suspect was taken to St. Elizabeth for evaluation and charges are pending.
