Can you sing? ArtsWave announces regional choral contest

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - ArtsWave will host its first region-wide choral competition called CincySings which will be hosted by Drew Lachey April 9 at the Aronoff Center.
The ArtsWave campaign supports more than 100 arts and cultural organizations with grants and services.
"I'm excited to be hosting ArtsWave's CincySings event," said Lachey. "I think we're going to hear some amazing music from these choirs and it's a chance to raise awareness for ArtsWave and the many arts organizations that make Cincinnati such a great place to live. This is truly something you will only see in Cincinnati."
Teams of employee choirs from the 2014 ArtsWave Community Campaign will face off in this competition that will continue Cincinnati's choral tradition. The winners of the CincySings competition will receive a special prize package from ArtsWave and have the chance to sing the national anthem at a Cincinnati Reds game.
Ten local companies are sending their top choirs to CincySings. These companies include American Modern Insurance, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Duke Energy, Fifth Third Bank, General Electric Horseshoe Casino, Humana, Kroger, Procter & Gamble and TriHealth.
Churches, schools and families are welcome to form groups to compete for the wild card. An additional wild card team will be chosen via fan vote on YouTube during the week of March 17. To enter, Wild Card teams must create a short video of their group performing and submit it to CincySings@TheArtsWave.org by midnight March 15.
