LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - A Cincinnati man was sentenced Thursday to 50 years in prison for his involvement in a large drug ring spanning several states.
David Reyes-Valdes, 22, was convicted in Dearborn County for dealing cocaine in an amount of three grams or more and conspiracy to commit dealing in cocaine in an amount three grams or more.
Prosecutors said two people were pulled over by Indiana State Police along Interstate 74 in West Harrison while reportedly en route to deliver 4.4 pounds of cocaine to Reyes-Valdes' house in Cincinnati. Hamilton County Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit officers monitored calls to Reyes-Valdes and set up surveillance at his home where he was later arrested.
Court documents state Reyes-Valdes was involved with a Mexican criminal organization based in Chicago. He was reportedly worked as part of a large trafficking narcotics operation in Ohio.
