CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - By Abbey Hnat
Yum! Dunkin' Donuts brought a fresh new flavor to the FOX19 Morning News Thursday along with an intense game of donut cornhole.
The fun was in celebration of National Donut Day, which you can celebrate Friday on Fountain Square.
Head to the heart of downtown and try Dunkin's newest summer donut, the Blueberry Cobbler. Dunkin' Donuts and other participating bakeries will be serving free donuts.
Pair that up with a free cup of coffee from the Salvation Army.
Did you know that the idea for Donut Day originated during World War II? The Salvation Army served coffee and donuts to soldiers on the battlefields of France.
And don't forget to eat a donut for Donut Day!
Details: 12-1 p.m. Friday. Fountain Square, 520 Vine St., Downtown. Free admission. www.gcrba.com.
