Crews respond to three-alarm fire downtown

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Fire Department is investigating a three-alarm fire that broke out in a downtown building overnight.

The fire started in a commercial building at 7th and Elm streets around 12:03 a.m. On arrival, first responders noticed heavy smoke on the fifth floor of the seven-story building. Several fire districts were called to help.

Fire crews battled the fire from the inside and officials say it took about an hour to put it completely out. The building was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

The fire departments stayed on scene for over three hours to investigate. The fire caused about $100,000 in damages.
