Schutzenfest, a 500-year-old German tradition, is celebrated in the Tri-State

(FOX19) - A 500 year old tradition is being celebrated in the Tri-state.

The Catholic Kolping Society hosted Schutzenfest this weekend.

It's a shooting festival full of all things German, including dancing, music, food and beverages.

Sunday, is the last day to experience the tradition at the Kolping Center at 10235 Mill Road, in Springfield Township.

Activities go from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The shooting game begins at 3 p.m.  It costs $3 per person, those 15 and under are free.
