CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Despite being named in a university investigation, Xavier basketball player Jalen Reynolds is headed to Los Angeles with his teammates.
The team bus departed campus Tuesday afternoon shortly after Coach Chris Mack confirmed a report was filed against Reynolds.
During a press conference, Mack spent less than one minute addressing the investigation and said there is "no status change on students involved" in the alleged incident.
A Xavier student filed the report against Reynolds, according to XU spokesperson Kelly Leon.
"I will tell you that Jalen will be traveling with the team," said Mack. "Jalen will be playing just like any other player on the team. (He) will be on that plane and will be expected to play."
The coach remained otherwise tight-lipped about the nature of the investigation, only saying it could take four to five weeks to complete.
Reynolds is a sophomore forward from Detroit. He scored a career high 21 points Saturday to help lead the Muskies to a 75 - 67 victory over Georgia State.
The Musketeers play Arizona at 10:17 p.m. Thursday night.
