Police: Cincy pizza delivery guys robbed at swordpoint
SPRING GROVE VILLAGE (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police Department says it has arrested one suspect and is searching for several more after two pizza delivery guys were robbed at swordpoint over the weekend.
No one was injured.
According to police reports, the two robberies happened over the weekend.
The first robbery was reported about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Froome Avenue. A 38-year-old Domino's Pizza employee told police he was delivering pizza when he was approached by four men armed with swords who demanded money.
The victim told officers one of the suspects held a sword to his throat and went through his pockets, taking his money. The suspects then left the area on bikes.
The second robbery happened Sunday about 6:50 p.m. also in the 700 block of Froome Avenue.
A LaRosa's employee reported three suspects holding swords approached from behind and forced him to hand over his phone and money. The report reads the suspects then took off.
The Cincinnati Police Department says the suspect in custody is a juvenile.
