OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - For the second time in less than 24 hours, shots were fired on Tuesday at a playground in Over-the-Rhine.

Cincinnati Police responded around 1:15 p.m. to the Findlay Playground, located at Race and Findlay streets.

A man was shot multiple times and transported to the hospital. He is expected to recover, according to officers at the scene.

Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell was on the scene and expressed concern over the back-to-back violence at the playground. It's the same place Justin Crutchfield, 18, was gunned down Monday night. He died at the hospital.

"This is still very problematic for us, you could have a shooting within 24 hours in the exact same location," said Blackwell. "This is one of the parks in our summer safety plan covered. So we recognize the need to make areas like this safe for young people"

The deadly attack happened near the route of an anti-violence march that was set to end at the Findlay Playground.

Officials have not said if the two shootings are related.
