SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are looking into whether a man was part of a credit card skimming scam after finding him with over 103 credit cards in his rental car.
Ayoola Abudu, 30, was arrested in Symmes Township after a traffic stop lead agents to discover VISA gift cards that had been altered with stolen credit card numbers, according to Regional Narcotics Unit agents.
RENU agents said they were able to determine, through consent to search the vehicle, that 101 of the credit cards had been re-encoded with credit card numbers different from those listed on the front of the gift cards.

Officials said Abudu, of Brox, New York, had traveled to Columbus and rented a vehicle before heading to his destination in Cincinnati.
Investigators are trying to determine if the bust has any connections to credit card skimmers that have been found in the Tri-State. They will be contacting banks and financial institutions to determine who the credit card numbers belong to and how much, if any, have been charged to the stolen customer accounts.
Abudu is charged with one count of forgery and possession of criminal tools and will be presented to a Hamilton County Grand Jury.
He is set to be arraigned Friday morning.
