Police: Woman threatened to blow up cemetery and kill the staff

EVENDALE, OH (FOX19) - A woman was arrested after allegedly threatening to blow up a cemetery and kill the staff, according to police.

Cynthia Fields was arrested by Evendale Police Monday and charged with two counts of menacing.

She allegedly told staff at Rest Haven Memorial Park that, "she was going to blow up the cemetery and dig up her son and move him," according to court records.

A staffer from the cemetery filled out an affidavit which reads, "Fields had been told multiple times about hanging signs on trees and decorating graves with stickers." It goes on to read, " She was confronted about glitter, nasty letters, fake vomit and cigarette butts."

The staffer claims she had talked to Fields about the problem over 10 times and the threat was made Monday. Allegedly, Fields has had several altercations with the cemetery and people have complained to cemetery about her behavior.

Fields has been released from the Hamilton County Jail. The Clerk's website does not list her next court date.
