CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Bengals are teaming up again with Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, to produce the city's largest blood drive.
They are registering 866 donors and collecting 816 lifesaving blood products for the 15th Annual Bengals Week Blood Drive.
The event started Monday and runs through Saturday.
During this time, donors are encouraged to make a lifesaving blood or platelet donation at one of Hoxworth's eight neighborhood donor centers.
All donors will receive a limited edition Bengals t-shirt.
Alecia Lipton, the Hoxworth spokesperson, said partnering with the Bengals allows them to harness the power of the 'Who Dey' nation to save countless lives in the community.
She said they hope that every fan of our hometown team will show their support by making a lifesaving blood donation.
Quarterback A.J. McCarron is the Bengals' spokesman for the drive this year.
The t-shirt design is a throwback to the 1969 season featuring the "flying tiger".
Donors can visit www.hoxworth.org/groups/bengals or call 513-451-0910 or 800-830-1091 to schedule donation appointments.
Due to the popularity of this event, appointments are highly encouraged.
