OXFORD, OH (FOX19) - According to Oxford police, an arrest has been made after two Miami University students were shot and wounded in an apparent robbery at a house near campus.

Police said two male suspects came to the house in the 200 block of North Campus Avenue to complete a prior arranged sale of a vehicle. Upon further investigation, police said the subject of the transaction was not a vehicle, rather approximately $4,000 worth of marijuana.

During that transaction one suspect pulled out a firearm and fired three rounds at the victims.

The suspects then fled the area with the cash.

Jared Goldhamer, 20, and 20-year-old Volodymyr Kovalenko were both shot in their legs. Both victims were transported to area hospitals and since released.

On Friday, Oct 14, 27-year-old Patrick Belison was arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting. He is currently being held at the Butler County Jail. He is charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

Detectives are still searching for at least one other suspect. He is described as a black male, dreadlock style hair, 5'11" and 190 pounds.

The shooting happened on Oct. 4, 2016.

Police said this incident was not a random act and that the victims were specifically targeted.
