Tri-State's first L.L. Bean store opens at The Kenwood Collection

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The first L.L. Bean store in the Tri-State opened Friday morning at The Kenwood Collection off Interstate 71 and Montgomery Road.

Customers camped out overnight to be the first to get a look inside the outdoor gear retailer when doors are thrown open for a 9 a.m. grand opening.

The first 200 people through the door are receiving gift cards worth up to $500.

This is the first L.L. Bean store in Cincinnati and the third in Ohio.

The 15,000-square-foot store has everything from active and casual wear and shoes to outdoor sporting goods.

Store operators are holding a three-day celebration for the grand opening.

There will be free fly casting and archery lessons by experts on Saturday and a kids day on Sunday.

The new store also is bringing jobs to the region by hiring more than 100 employees.
