8-year-old boy wishes for Christmas cards
EVENDALE, OH (FOX19) - A second grade boy has a simple wish for the holidays this year: he's asking for Christmas cards.
Andrew Little suffers from transverse myelitis and is a quadriplegic. Andrew lives at St. Joseph Home of Cincinnati.
In 2012, his mother died and he is now being raised by his grandparents.
Andrew is hoping to decorate his room in Christmas cards this year. Sharonville Fire Department already responded and made Andrew a big Christmas card.
"I like them," he said. "Because they're great."
Last year, he only received four cards. This year, he's asking all who are able to send him one.
"When he gets a card, he always asks who it's from and he always remember every time I come to see him, 'do I have a card?'" said his grandmother, Alyson Little.
His grandmother says Andrew is probably going share his cards with his friends at St. Joseph. He's not focused on the value or size of the gift, but the message it brings.
"That's all, just two minutes of someone's time, to know that someone is thinking about him, someone cares enough to send it," said Alyson.
His grandmother says these cards mean everything.
"He's very limited to access to the outside world so the Christmas cards is his way to connect with the world," Alyson said.
