Mother of Mercy, McAuley high schools to blend into new school in fall 2018

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Mother of Mercy High School and McAuley High School will be blended into a new school, starting in fall 2018.
The new all-girls school will be called Mercy McAuley High School. It will be located on Oakwood Avenue in the facility that currently houses McAuley High School.
An official announcement is expected Thursday at 1 p.m.
"We realize how important a Catholic, Mercy education is to our students, parents and alumnae," Mercy High School posted on Facebook. "We believe this change will keep it affordable and sustainable."
Both schools have a combined enrollment of 963 - with 495 students at Mother of Mercy and 468 at McAuley.
The Sisters of Mercy founded Mother of Mercy High School in 1915 and McAuley High School in 1960.
