FOX19 - We'll catch a break from rain Wednesday, but it will come at a price.
With mostly sunny skies early and just partly cloudy skies later in the day, we're expecting highs to peak around 92 degrees. If we make it to at least 91 in Cincinnati, it will be the hottest day so far this year, beating the June 12th high of 90. June 12th was also the last time we saw high temps in the 90s. This means Wednesday will just be our second day in the 90s so far this year.
The air temperature is only part of the story though. Factor in the humidity and feels like temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s Wednesday afternoon. This isn't particularly rare for this area, but is the most intense heat we've seen so far this year.
If possible, try to avoid strenuous activity outdoors in the afternoon. Drink plenty of water and wear light-colored clothing. And don't forget to take breaks from the heat, even if it just means sitting under some trees to catch some shade.
The good news is that Wednesday looks like the hottest day over the next seven. The bad news? Long range models are indicating more 90s beyond the seven day forecast.
