Storms Friday before nice weather moves in

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The weather Saturday is looking spectacular, but we've got to get through Friday first.

During the morning hours Friday, isolated showers and storms will be around. This could slow the morning commute in spots, but we don't expect widespread problems.

Beginning around 12 p.m., storm activity is expected to go up as a cold front pushes through the Tri-State. The best chance of seeing these additional storms will be to the east of Cincinnati. Those west of town could miss out on this afternoon activity. Most of the storms will be clear of our eastern counties by 4 p.m. and all lingering showers should be over by early evening.

Any of these afternoon storms will be capable of producing heavy rain and frequent lightning. Damaging wind gusts and small hail are possible, but this is expected to be quite isolated. This will be far from a banner severe weather day.

Look for skies to clear Friday night with low temperatures falling into the upper 50s. Saturday will be very nice with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, highs in the upper 70s, and lower humidity.
