HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Walmart is adding its second Pickup Tower in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The tower at the Walmart Supercenter at 3201 Princeton Road in Hamilton will be ready for us on Friday, Nov. 17.
According to a news release, the 16-foot structures will make holiday shopping even easier, functioning like high-tech vending machines that can fulfill a customer's online order in less than a minute.
"As technology changes, so does how we shop," Hamilton Store Manager Michael Jodrey said in the release. "Our Pickup Towers are the latest example of how we're using new technology to save our customers time and money. We hope that this will make holiday shopping even easier."
The tower can fulfill a customer's online order in less than a minute. When customers order online, they can select the pickup option at checkout, then store employees load the order into the machine. Customers then go to the store, scan a barcode and receive their order.
The first Walmart Pickup Tower in Ohio was installed in September at the Middletown Walmart located at 2900 Towne Blvd.
