CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A local man is without a car after a driver crashed into it while it was parked in the 2000 block of Warsaw Avenue.
Shawn Olvis says this is the fourth time one of his cars has been struck while parked in front of his home.
"I need it for work or I mean I could walk 50 miles, but that's pretty hard," said Olvis.
Olvis' 2003 Toyota Celica was struck by a driver of a van who also struck a side wall on the road. Olvis' neighbor, Brian Wade, was sitting on his porch when it happened Wednesday around 9:30 p.m.
"I heard the wheels squealing and it hit my neighbor's car from behind and knocked it about six car lengths up the hill," said Wade.
The driver of the van didn't have his license or insurance. Wade and Olvis believe he was also intoxicated at the time and are upset Cincinnati police let him go.
"I saw him stashing cans in a cooler, he had something spilled on him and I could smell a hint of alcohol in the vehicle," said Wade.
There is no mention of alcohol in the police report, however.
Olvis is worried about replacing his vehicle.
"I'm livid because I've had four cars hit on this road," he said.
The driver of the van could not be reached for comment.
