Man Arrested For Early Morning Sexual Attack On Teen

A Goshen man is behind bars for a dramatic early morning attack on a 15 year old girl.

Police say that Jerry Lee Drusell attacked the girl after her parents left for work this morning.

Drusell apparently got into the mobile home in the 1700 block of State Route 28 through an unlocked window. Police then say that Drusell went to the end of the trailer and found the girl asleep.

Police say it was customary for the girl to wake and prepare for school after her parents had left for the day.

According to police, Drusell dragged the girl down the hallway into the living room and physically and sexually attacked her in the living room. The girl attemped to call 911 but the phone was apparently ripped from her hands by Drusell.

Police say that the girl attempted to make noise by banging on the wall of the mobile home which alerted a neighbor who thought a domestic dispute was underway. The neighbor alerted authorities and then saw Drusell flee after the neighbor began to bang on the outside walls.

Police say that Drusell was identified in a police lineup later in the day.

He was recently released from jail after serving eight years after being found guilty of aggravated vehicular assault involving DUI. Police say that Drusell's girlfriend reported to them that he had been watching pornography the night before.

Drusell has been charged with one count of aggravated burglary, one count of kidnapping and one count of rape. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
