Colonel Dean Smittle served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force in key leadership positions.
Before enlisting, he earned a Masters of Art Education degree from the University of Cincinnati, and graduated from the Air War College at Air University in Alabama. Col. Smittle now teaches as an adjunct faculty member at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
He also works as the military analyst for FOX19 Morning News at 6:50 a.m. and the Jim Scott Morning Show on WLW Radio an hour later.
Col. Smittle is an active member of the American Society of Aviation Artists. Viewers got a glimpse of his "true colors" through drawings and paintings of military planes and personnel. The Colonel's works have gone on display at local galleries and national museums, while his biography made it into Marquis Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in Science and Technology.
