Lawsuit Says Planned Parenthood Failed to Report Abuse

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - A teenage girl is suing Cincinnati's

Planned Parenthood claiming the agency didn't report her claim of

sexual abuse to the authorities.

The suit claims the girl told clinic workers that she was being

sexually abused by her father when he took her there for an

abortion in 2004. The suit, filed yesterday in Warren County Common

Pleas Court, says the abuse continued for another year and a half

because no police report was filed.

The president of Planned Parenthood's Southwest Ohio Region

disputes the claim, saying that they would have reported any abuse

allegations as required by law.

The girl eventually told her future college sports coach about

the abuse, and her father was sentenced to five years in prison.
