This is a milestone year with Women Helping Women. Women Helping Women is celebrating 50 years of social justice work.
It started with two women, a phone, a bed, and a purpose, and now we serve tens of thousands of survivors of gender-based violence.
Our gala on June 9th will take a look back a the last 50 years and forward toward the transformative work ahead.
The gala is called Journey to Joy; No one wants to celebrate gender-based violence or the recognition that after 50 years, the need for our organization still exists now more than ever.
But we can celebrate the resilience and relentless pursuit of happiness and joy by our survivors and the many people in the community who stand with and by them every day. That's what we are celebrating. We hope people can join us. You will be transformed.
